Wow! For our Comfort Cubs Teddy Bear Drive, the results are in and our school was able to collect 378 stuffed animals. These stuffed animals were collected for our local 1st responders and the Children's Advocacy Center to use when they come across a situation that is upsetting to a child. This was a way for our students to give back to the community.
The top 3 classes bringing in stuffed animals were as follows:
1st Place--Mrs. Keltner's kindergarten class brought in 62.
2nd Place--Mrs. Kinley Giles' kindergarten class brought 47.
3rd Place--Mrs. Taylor Morrison's 2nd grade class brought 38.
The 1st place class received a pizza party. This project was led by Preston Parks, a LWU student and Mrs. Marcum's student teacher.
